BLOG 23 1/2 DATA ANALYSIS

Paper will be an ethnography focusing on Instagram. Chose to focus on a subcommunity of Instagram called the RSA. (royal snapping artists)

The RSA is a group on Instagram which posts and discusses photos of a country setting. Rural background.

The question will be this subgroup of Instagram (or any subgroup) can be considered a discourse community. Calls it a literary community, does it meet the standards of the DCs we considered in class. Does it have the goals and features.

Common goals- to become a better photographer
Learn new tricks of the trade
Promote own pictures

Mechanisms for communication
Likes comments follows are all ways to communicate with other members of the groups.

These mechanisms also provide feedback as well as ways to continuously communicate and assist the goals of its members
